4A technology: At the beginning of their investigations, Isabel and Montserrat discovered that none of the anti-acne product lines on the market took into account a basic fact: once acne is resolved, how to find the right maintenance products for acne-prone skin that do not produce acne flare-ups ? AKNΦSTASIS formulations merge powerful Anti-acne and Anti-aging agents with selected phytoalexins, which are metabolic defense compounds that plants generate to defend themselves against pathogens. On the skin, these phytoalexins act as a toxin against Cutibacterium acnes bacteria (Propionibacterium acnes). Unlike what can happen with antibiotics, to date, this bacterium is not known to have ever succeeded to develop resistance to the phytoalexins that we incorporate into our products.
